Documents Required For Import Customs
Clearances in the Republic of Uzbekistan

Customs department for the registration of the company as an importer/exporter
in customs data bank
· Certificate from tax inspection
confirming the company is in good standing with the tax department
Please be advised that all required
documents must be notarized.
It is strongly requested that the company
initiates the registration process at the central customs office before they
intend to initiate any type of import and/or export operation in Uzbekistan.

registration purposes.
Items Prohibited to Ship to Uzbekistan

If you are interested in shipping to Uzbekistan,
there are certain items that are not allowed to be shipped into the country.
These items include the following:
· Firearms and any essential firearm
components
· Narcotics, as well as psychotropic items
· Perishable infectious and noninfectious
biological substances
· Pornographic material
· Radioactive material
In addition to the above mentioned items,
the government of Uzbekistan has instituted a temporary prohibition against
mailing meats and meat products, milk and dairy products as well as seeds of
any kind into the country.
Shipping a Vehicle to Uzbekistan

If you are considering moving to Uzbekistan
or are possibly returning from being away from the country for some time, you
may want to have a vehicle shipped. There are certain guidelines you will need
to follow in order to do such. You will first have to register yourself as an
importer with the local customs office. In order to register, you must have the
following documents submitted to the customs office.
· Passport copy
· Shipping documents with same shipper and
consignee
· Certificate of policy
· Certificate of origin
· Complete vehicle details

· Power of Attorney
· Custom letters

you will then need to select where you would like to have your vehicle shipped.
You will then have to pay an import duty to the government, custom duty to the
customs department, and fright rate to the shipping company.
When shipping a vehicle to Uzbekistan, you
will also have to pay the charge for taking the delivery of consignment, which
will vary depending upon the engine capacity of the vehicle. For vehicles with
engine capacity of less than 1000cc, the percentage amount payable is 20%. For
vehicles with the engine capacity of 1000cc to 1500 cc, the amount payable is
30%. For vehicles with the engine capacity of more than 3000cc, the amount
payable is 40%.
Bringing a Pet to Uzbekistan

If you are interested in bringing your pet
with along you to Uzbekistan, you will need to make sure that your dog or cat
is vaccinated for rabies no earlier than 30 days and no more than 12 months
before entry. All domestic dogs and cats must be free of evidence of disease
communicable to humans when examined at the port of entry. If your dog or cat
is not in apparent good health, further examination by a licensed veterinarian
may be required at your expense.
